Enlist support from other Kentuckians!
Multiply your impact by recruiting others contact their legislators. Here are some ideas:

Contact other parents who have had (or are having) this experience. Strategize with these friends and acquaintances using weekly morning teas or evening desserts. These are effective and fun!

Make an appointment for you and other like-minded individuals to visit your representatives. The more people (including parents, babies, and young children), the better! (Most Legislators want to have a “family friendly” reputation).
Use the guidelines given for contacting your legislator on the previous page. -
Have friends and relatives call Kentucky's toll-free “Legislative Message Line” (1-800-372-7181) to leave a message for their legislator, the House or Senate leaders, or members of a specific committee, asking for their support for expanded family friendly jury duty legislation.

Give information about this Kentucky's family friendly jury duty initiatives to churches and groups to which you belong. (This increases your impact exponentially!)

Enlist the support of breastfeeding groups (such as La Leche League, etc.) which add legitimacy to this cause and aids our efforts to attract a legislator’s attention and support.
Remember, you don’t have to be a
professional lobbyist to have an impact,
only a concerned citizen!!
