Multiply your impact by making this information available to others and recruiting them to contact their legislators as well.  Find groups who might support Family Friendly Jury Duty Legislation

·          Other parents (or family caregivers) who have had (or are having) this experience.  Strategize with these friends and acquaintances using weekly morning teas or evening desserts.  These are effective and fun!

·          Make an appointment for you and other like-minded individuals to visit your representatives.  The more people (including family members, parents, babies, and young children), the better

·          Many states have a toll-free “Legislative Message Line” where callers can leave a message with a receptionist for your legislator, the chamber leaders (House & Senate), or members of a specific committee. 

·          Increase your impact exponentially by giving information about this cause to churches and groups to which you belong.

·          Enlisting the support of family-friendly groups and organizations will add legitimacy to this cause and aid in your efforts to attract a legislator’s attention and/or support:
